You may have heard it about it by now, the show that has already been renewed for a second and third season, NBC's new hit, "This Is Us." Premiering back in September, the family drama has captured a large audience, and you guessed it, myself included. Following the story of the Pearson family, "This Is Us," jumps back and forth between the past and present, leaving viewers to speculate over the missing puzzle pieces. Now if you have yet to delve into this captivating sob fest, I suggest you do so first before continuing. As for those diehards, I have made a list of what I believe to be the top ten most emotional moments from the first season.

***Spoilers Ahead

1. Randall's final moments with William

Did anyone else ugly cry during this scene, or was it just me? After traipsing around Memphis for a few days, William's condition got the best of him, and succumbed to the cancer that plagued him. Watching Randall hold his father's head and telling him to breath like Jack did with him as a child was both heartwarming and breaking all at once.

2. When Kevin professes his love for Sophie

In true "This Is Us" fashion, we were all shocked when we found out that the woman on his mind was neither Sloane nor Olivia but his ex-wife Sophie who we later find out was his childhood sweetheart. Suddenly the tortured part of Kevin kind of made sense.

3. Basically any pep-talk between Jack and Kate

From the moment at the public pool to her minimally attended birthday, Jack's love for Kate is boundless and it just makes you want to melt into a puddle of emotions. It is obvious that their father-daughter relationship is of the highest model.

4. The moment where Kevin ditches opening night to find Randall

After Randall's bizarre phone call before opening night of the play, Kevin knows something is off, and acts on his belief of what his dad would do in a similar situation. Randall's vulnerability and Kevin's selflessness in this moment shows what true brotherhood looks like.

5. Kate's therapeutic moment

After years of pent up emotions over her father's death Kate finally has a break through with the help of her fitness camp, or at least that's what was implied. Either way, this dose of reality allowed viewers a glimpse into the pain she has been holding in.

6. Dr. K's life lesson for Jack

Dr. K is like an old wise grandpa, and after Jack is told that Rebecca lost one of their triplets, his words of wisdom are sprinkled throughout the rest of the season, and it is clear that Jack passed it on to his kids. He told Jack, that if he took "the sourest lemon that life has to offer and turned it into something resembling lemonade" then your life would be pretty great.

7. Rebecca's desperate attempt to get Jack a semi-decent birthday gift

After a blow out fight with Jack she realizes that she forgot that it was his birthday, but without a car she walks to the nearest gas station and the origin of the terrible towel is suddenly revealed. Her attempt to fashion a cupcake out of a muffin is endearing enough to make up for her momentary mood swing.

8. Beth's moment of closure for William

Shortly after Randall's return from Memphis, Beth reveals her anger of her lack of closure, saying she was upset with William for leaving her like that. All is suddenly forgiven when she receives a post card that William had sent her, his final letter for his son's wife.

9. Jack's promise to hold Randall up

When Jack and Rebecca enroll Randall in a Karate class so that he can have positive African-American male role models, the instructor asks the fathers in the room to help initiate the new member. With this initiation the men promise to hold their sons up, but this promise between a father and son of different races is what makes this scene so powerful, and Jack's promise to Randall is a promise to respect and protect him.

10. That Pearson family chant

Because a family that chants together stays together.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
