Two things that I really enjoy in this world are college and the TV show "The Office." Want to know how both are related? Read on to see 10 times that "The Office" perfectly described college.
1. Presentation Days
Presentation days can be some of the most annoying times in college: you have to dress up, get a powerpoint together, and "teach" all of your classmates while they doze off. Pointless.
2. Getting an A on a test
Need I say more? This is exactly how I feel every time my test comes back with an A.
3. Applying for scholarships
If only scholarship offers and the FAFSA would understand that college is hard on everyone, and would offer us at least a little bit of help before we go bankrupt after college.
4. Forcing yourself to study
High school is a whole different beast from college, especially when learning to develop study habits and not procrastinating.
5. Dead Week
Bring on the aspirin and pajamas, dead week is here. Countless hours of studying and cramming for a week of final exams can cause quite a few headaches and stress.
6. Required Attendance
We will all have at least a few of those professors who count attendance every class period. Sometimes you may even get a professor who grades attendance. To me, nothing is more annoying than a professor who isn't at least a little lenient on not showing up to class.
7. Failing a test
Most people will probably experience a really bad, or failing, grade on a test in their college career. There is nothing worse than the sinking feeling you get when looking at the horrible grade on a test you tried to study for.
8. Free stuff on campus
There are few moments better than getting something free from a campus booth on your way to class. Especially if food is involved.
9. Waking up right before class
Waking up 10 minutes before your 8 AM lecture isn't ideal, but probably happens more than you are willing to admit. So throw on those wrinkled shorts, pop a mint into your mouth, and embrace the "I just rolled out of bed" look while walking across campus.
10. Game Days
Whether you camp out by the stadium the night before the game, or get there 10 minutes before, the student section is always the craziest section of the game. Chants, songs, moves, and shouting can be seen and heard as the football team's biggest fans cheer on their school.
The Office, we get you.
