10 Times Nathan Scott Gave You Unrealistic Expectations Of Men

At this point in time, most women who have access to Netflix have probably already had the insane pleasure of watching “One Tree Hill” at one point or another. You have probably had one of your friends go on and on for days, weeks, years about this little show that has been off the air for going on four years, yet something piqued your interest enough to hit “play season one episode one.” And, it was that easy. You were instantly hooked. Whether or not you were team Brucas or Leyton, you knew one thing for certain: Nathan and Haley were relationship goals to end all relationship goals. But, it wasn’t always smooth sailing with those two. Granted, most of their drama stemmed from Haley totally taking advantage of Nathan’s perfection (but that’s another topic for another article). Throughout the nine seasons, Nathan Scott paved his way into your hearts, one perfect free throw at a time.

1. His cracker jack gift…

At this point in time, Nathan was just messing with Haley's head to get to Lucas. But, his genuine self peeked through with the iconic "Don't say I never gave you anything" line that was the beginning of a beautiful, perfect relationship.

2. His near-death confession...

After Nathan had OD'd on steroids to impress his father, he walked his dehydrated, drugged up self to Haley's house to apologize for not being the man she deserved.

3. The always-encouraging way he tried to teach Haley to shoot a basket...

4. When he participated in the Boy Toy auction and shattered all expectations of what normal 17-year-old guys look like...

Guys don't look like that, period. And that's a hard pill to swallow when you watched this episode when you were 9 years old and just expected all guys to eventually look like that...

5. When he embraced every one of Haley's quirks (and the list was long...)

6. When he made the pass to Lucas for the winning shot, even though he had Rick Fox playing a scary loan shark threatening him and his family if he won the game, all because Haley told him he was having a son and he wanted to make them proud...

7. When Nathan is stuck in Atlanta on Haley's birthday and hitch hikes his way back to Tree Hill just in time to celebrate with her.

8. Every single time he was with Jamie, proving he was not only the perfect husband, but the perfect dad, as well...

9. All of the rain confessions, notably the famous first kiss, or when he runs to his car to show Haley all of the newspaper clippings he had saved from her tours, despite their separation...

10. And finally...his proposal.

Basically, if you have ever watched "One Tree Hill," your expectations of men are considerably higher than most other girls. Although there is only one Nathan Scott, I have faith that everyone will find their own version of Nathan Scott one day. And he'll love you, always and forever...

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
