Justin Bieber still had a bowl cut, people still wore matching Juicy Couture sweatsuits, and the biggest decision I was faced with was choosing my top 8 friends on MySpace. The 2000's were a strange time for all of us, but the music reminds us that it wasn't THAT bad.
No matter if you are at a party, in the shower, or doing homework, here are 10 throwbacks from the 2000's you MUST add to your weekend playlist. (WARNING: High levels of nostalgia may come from reading this!)
10. "Fergalicious" by Fergie (2006)

Admit it, we all wanted to be fergalicious when this song came on. Nobody ever questioned why she spelled tasty "T to the A to the S T E Y." Fergie might want to get out of the gym and stop working on her fitness and start working on her spelling.
9. "Lose Control" by Missy Elliot (2005)
The GIF says it all.
8. "Temperature" by Sean Paul (2005)
Nobody could really understand this song, but it got you so hyped for the simplest things. (PS: it still gets me hyped.)
7. "Beautiful Soul" by Jesse McCartney (2004)
No girl was safe from the swooning heartthrob that was 2000's Jesse McCartney.
6. "Stacy's Mom" by Fountain of Wayne (2003)
No picture could have done this song as much justice as it deserves. No matter who you were, in 2003 you were ALL in love with Stacy's mom.
5. "Get Low" by Lil John (2003)
No words are needed to describe the party that accompanied this song. Que the flashbacks to middle school dances.
4. "Hot in Herre" by Nelly (2002)
Did anyone figure out what the little white band-aid was for? Well I can assure you everyone was metaphorically wearing one when this song came on.
3. "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus (2009)
Currently (still) being played at house parties everywhere.
2. "Bye Bye Bye" by 'N Sync (2000)
No words needed.
AND FINALLY....
1. "Ignition (Remix)" by R. Kelly (2003)
The quintessential throwback. If this isn't already in your playlist, it should be.
