Stress, eager, stress, eagerly waiting and more stress. That is how I am feeling while waiting to hear if I got into nursing school or not.

Here are 11 other things all potential nursing students are probably thinking too.

1. I hope I do well on this anatomy test.....

I cannot afford a bad grade, I cannot!

2. How much would I be spending on nursing school?

Apparently too much...

3. Do I have everything I need for my application?!

Calling my nursing adviser for the fifth time as we speak.

4. Wait... what happens if I don't get in?

I NEED TO STOP OVERTHINKING IT.

5. I think I am going mad.

6. What is the passing score for the TEAS test again??

Golly, I hope I passed it!!

7. I should've studied more for that one test, dangit!

But Grey's was on....

8. After watching Grey's so much, maybe I should be a surgeon....

Nah, who am I kidding, I wouldn't know how to do it all, truth be told. I'll stick to wanting to be a nurse.

9. Breathe. Just breathe. Hopefully they will contact me soon if I get accepted or not.

10. I wonder if there is anybody in the same position as I am....

So to all of the soon-to-be nursing students,I UNDERSTAND what you are going through right now and so do a million other people. It is so, so stressful. At this point, everything we do is stressful! There are going to be times when you just want to call and email the nursing adviser over and over again to check if anything has changed. There will be times when you just want to hit your head against a textbook just hoping you will learn something from it. There will be tons and tons of late nights due to studying and too much caffeine being drank with so little sleep. But we all know that in the end, it will be worth it. Being a nurse will be so rewarding, and we all can't wait until the day we graduate and start helping to save lives.

Good luck soon to be nursing students, our journey will be here before we know it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
