One of the greatest parts of college is getting to schedule your classes whenever you want. At least, that's what is ideally supposed to happen. The fact of the matter is that you will likely end up with at least one 8 am, and while it is nice to get class over with early in the morning, it can definitely be a struggle.
1. What? Is it seriously already time to get up?
It cannot possibly be morning already.
2. Snooze.
I am admittedly not a "snooze" type of person- if I hit it, there's no coming back. Most college students I know, though, definitely are.
3. Fine, I'll get up now.
I mean, I'll get up in just one more minute...
4. I am dead tired, maybe I should just skip class.
You might be like me and never ever skip class, but you are lying to yourself if you say you've never wanted to.
5. I should check if class is canceled.
Spoiler alert: it's not.
6. Uh-oh, it's later than I thought.
Time flies when you're lying in bed dreading the two-hour lecture to come.
7. How nice do I need to look for class?
Sweatpants aren't exactly an ideal style, but they are not a rare spectacle in a college 8 am.
8. Did I finish the homework?
You most likely did. You probably should have studied for the quiz more, though.
9. I need to start going to bed early.
I better add that to the list of things I need to do.
10. At least a new day means a fresh start.
Okay, maybe you don't actually think this at 7:30 am on your walk to class, but it is true. Keep it in mind, and get ready to take on a new day.
