10 Thoughts You Had During Freshman Orientation

1. "We're doing a chant, again?"

Oh, and it's stuck in my head now too. ESPECIALLY when you've done the same one a million times.

2. "I need a nap."

I don't think I've ever walked this much in my life in a span of four days.

3. "We literally played this game 6 times today."

I'm not getting any better at it, either. But I still low-key enjoy playing them.

4. "What time are we done today?"

8? 9? 10:30? Why is time going by so slow? I don't know if I'll make it out alive today.

5. "I recognize you, just not your name."

Thank goodness for the name tags!! (And Instagram).

6. "ANOTHER presentation?!"

I don't think I can sit through another one. If I sit down, I could fall asleep.

7. "School or summer camp? Lmk."

I love college.

8. "I'm hungry."

I know we just ate, but all this walking and activity is making me hungry again. When's lunch?

9. "But I cannot be gaining the Freshman 15."

I need to eat a salad today. *snacks late at night and orders insomnia*

10. "Lowkey going to miss the people in my OC group."

I loved my OC and I wouldn't have wanted to spend these next four days with anyone else. Definitely glad I got to know so many more familiar faces.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
