1.) Your family.
Admit it, you miss them like crazy when you're at school, but sometimes you're too busy to check in with them regularly. When you're home, you realize how much you missed your crazy dysfunctional family and how lucky you are to have them to come home to.
2.) Your bed.
The additional memory foam pads and liners definitely make your college bed tolerable, maybe even nice, but there's nothing like coming home to your (not twin sized) comfortable bed.
3.) Your high school friends.
You've probably made a lot of really amazing friends in college that you'll miss when you're home for break, but it's so nice to be back with the people you grew up with for a change. Your high school friends have seen you through many highs and lows and being home for break will make you appreciate them even more.
4.) Your car.
While you're at school, not having a car might not be a huge deal, but when you get home and have the ability to drive around aimlessly in your car, you realize how much you missed it.
5.) Your mom's home cooked meals.
Dining hall food at most schools is decent, but nothing really compares to a home cooked meal, especially around the holidays.
6.) Your hometown.
When we're in high school, we're dying to leave our town and go explore the real world. However, once we get out into the real world we learn to appreciate where we came from. There's really no place like home.
7.) Your shower.
No shower shoes, need I say more?
8.) Your pets.
Think you missed your pets while away at school? Chances are they missed you even more. The week or so home for break will definitely be a tease though when you're forced to leave your furry best friend to go back to school.
9.) Your privacy.
As close as you may be with your roommates/suite mates, everyone can use some away time. Being back at home you'll realize just how nice it is to be in your OWN room without anyone bothering you.
10.) Your job.
Not working at school seems great until you get home and don't have money to spend on anything. Picking up a few shifts at your old job will have you rolling in the dough and never wanting to leave.
