1. Cleaning up after yourself.

You're used to picking up after yourself and yourself only. Now that you're home, Mom and Dad thinks it's a good idea for you to clean up after your siblings. too.
2. Choosing your own sleep schedule.

Sometimes you need to go to bed at 3 a.m., and sometimes you need to go to bed at 6 p.m. They just don't get it.
3. Messy rooms.

Yes, you have to clean up after yourself (refer back to number 1), but that doesn't mean you do it all the time. No one's fussing at you to clean your room 24/7
4. Seeing your friends whenever you want.

We'll all be going through friend withdrawal. Who am I supposed to ask the appropriate time to respond to a text or if my hair looks disgusting right now?
5. Getting food at 1 a.m.

At home, this is frowned upon, despite the fact Qdoba is still open.
6. Freedom.

Your parents always want to know where you're going and what time you'll be back.
7. Shameless outfits.

You go to class in your pajamas or sweats, but on break it's taboo to leave home like this.
8. The unmatchable joy you feel when a class is cancelled.

Yeah, you don't have classes, but you're never this
happy about it.
9. The camaraderie of sarcasm.

No one quite expresses themselves the way fellow classmates do.

Netflix binges aren't the same when they're interrupted by, "Come play a card game with us!" or "Can you run to the store really quick?"
