1. You live in Moore Hall

Moore isn't just a place for classes, it is a place for studying, late night projects, hanging out with friends..etc. Basically, you should have your mail forwarded there. Everything you could possibly need is contained within Moore, and you wouldn't have it any other way.

2. You analyze movies and TV Shows

Watching TV and or Movies isn't the same anymore. You watch reality TV and just know that the producer is telling them what to do. It's a lie. It's all a lie.

3. You still don't really know how to run the TD Board in Anspach

Okay, like, I understand what each button does, but sometimes I click a few buttons at once, and something happens, and somehow we are on camera 3. We were really trying to just get to Camera 1, I swear. Then we will jump around and go across Camera 2, back to Camera 3, then finally land on Camera 1, when the next shot is not Camera 1. It's fine, we all still did pretty well in 220.

4. You say things like:

"I shot that!" "I forgot my adaptor" "I forgot my headphones" "I left my flash drive in the computer again" "My voice sounds weird" "Want to be in my video?"

5. You can write Ad's like nobody's business.

I know how to write a tag line in my sleep. What audience are we catering to? Middle aged women? I've got this.

6. You are kind of sick of Social Media

Like yeah, we all got our personal ones, but after a class of sitting and learning how things are trending, and example after example, it can get repetitive.

7. You get singled out at job fairs, and it's fantastic

You go to Central Michigan? How do you like the program? I've heard it's one of the best in the Midwest! Can I keep this Resume?

8. You get to meet cool people

Connections connections connections. If you've had an internship, worked on MHTV, either of the radio stations, or even on late night projects, you know that sometimes the coolest people, are those that are working on the same things as you.

9. We have some pretty amazing alumni.

News anchors, actors, musicians, Larry Joe Campbell, and hey even Tim Allen, was part of our program for a semester.

10. We are all a big BCA family.

You need an adaptor? I got you. Yeah, you can interview me for a project! I know, I don't get how to put this portfolio together either. What even is this?

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
