10 Things To Do On A Road Trip

With spring break upon us, many people travel near and far to spend their week at their own place of relaxation. Although spending the week relaxing can be very rewarding, the time spent driving to and from your destination can be very unappealing. Hours on the road can lead to boredom for many with the anticipation of just getting there. This week I am writing to help you solve these issues of boredom, and give you a list of things to do while on the road.

1. Make a bomb playlist full of everyone's favorite songs.

2. Catch up on the latest gossip from and about everyone.

3. See who can find the license plate from the farthest state from you.

4. Have a contest to see who can find the coolest souvenir at any stops made along the route.

5. Pack the best snacks, and then do the ultimate switcheroo for the snacks that everyone else packed.

6. Try and make a story including every filter on Snapchat that you pass throughout the trip.

7. Play games such as iSpy or finding objects in alphabetical order.

8. Nap, nap and nap again. You can never sleep too much.

9. No matter how old you are, coloring can always be a fun and entertaining thing to occupy your mind.

10. Cuddle up and read a nice book.

No matter how bored you and your friends might be, there are endless amounts of things that you can do to distract your mind from how slow time is moving. So if you think about, nothing is that far or that boring unless you make it that way. It's one of those things that it's only as good as you make it. So make it fun and have a great time!!!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
