10 Things To Do In Miami On Spring Break

So my friends and I are heading south for Spring Break—way south—all the way to Miami and it’s going to be epic. Miami has been an iconic spring break destination for years, so this city knows what they’re doing. Here are 10 things to do in this amazing city on SB:

Beaches:

1. SoBe or South Beach – This is where we are staying because it’s right in the middle of everything, the best dining, the best clubs, and the best views.

2. North Beach – Also very scenic, but a little quieter and away from the action.

3. Nikki Beach Miami Beach – this is basically an upscale cabana. Two words: Rosé Saturdays, which conveniently start up the week of my spring break. Added bonus, this place turns into a nightclub on the beach at night.

Food & Dining:

4. Joe’s Stone Crab – So this seems like a combo of seafood and southern cooking, and apparently is “South Florida’s Most Famous Restaurant” so if you don’t want to miss out, I’d check it out.

5. A Fish Called Avalon – This is a classic seafood place, but it’s on Ocean Drive so it’s right in the middle of all the action. Perfect for a late dinner before hitting up the clubs.

6. Osteria Del Teatro – So this is a blend of Italian and seafood so there’s something for everyone. This is slightly more upscale dining, but you’re on spring break, you might as well treat yourself. It’s also really close to the beach, so that’s a bonus.

Nightlife:

***Disclaimer – In my research I discovered that some places listed as “nightclubs” are in fact strip clubs, so just keep that in mind before you wander into some place called Wonderland…

7. E11EVEN MIAMI club – This is the type of club you’ve seen in every movie ever. It’s basically a 24-hour rave. They have celebrity performances and know how to throw an incredible party. It’s a can’t miss.

8. Club Space – This club has had guest DJs such as David Guetta and Avicci. It’s right next to Eleven, so if you’re hitting up one, you might as well do both.

9. Mynt Lounge in South Beach – Recommended by a local (Thanks Tay), this is where you need to go. End of story. Period.

10. Story Nightclub – This is a full-service nightclub, and they have celeb performances. For example, Robin Schultz will be performing on March 3rd, and Lil Jon is coming on Friday, March 10th.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
