It’s crazy to think that we are the last generation of kids born in the 1900’s. Not to brag or anything, but we did have a very cool childhood and the best TV shows ever, am I wrong? So, here are 10 things I am sure you will remember if you are a nineties’ kid.
1. Instant or Windows Messenger
This was honestly the best thing about coming home from school.
2. Discmans
Honestly, kids these days will never understand the struggle of wanting to listen to music everywhere, but having to carry around a huge device you couldn't fit into your pockets. And remember being disappointed when the CD’s leaflet didn’t have the lyrics to the songs? Like how else am I supposed to learn that line on track 4?
3. Fortune teller
We literally let these little things decide our future.
4. Gel pens
And we had the box with the 100 gel pens because you just couldn’t have enough of them.
5. Game boy
Game boy color, oh boy, does that makes me feel old. However, you can’t deny the Game Boy Advance had the BEST games ever invented. (Sonic Advance, Crash, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Pokémon…)6. Minesweeper, Solitaire, Pinball and Paint
They are the ONLY reason why you used your computer at home. (Before having internet, of course.)
7. Legends of the Hidden Temple
This was one of the best TV shows ever. They only had like 20 different episodes, but we loved to watch them over and over again.8. VHS
Forget about DVD’s and don’t even think about Blue Ray’s, this was the only way to watch a movie. The worst part was when you had to rewind the whole thing in order to watch your movie. And no, we didn’t have Netflix, we had to get out of bed and go to Blockbuster to rent movies.9. Tamagotchi and “Distroller neonates” (my home town will understand this one)
I think everyone at one point had a Tamagotchi. And in my home town, we had these little stuffed babies that literally had to be treated like real babies called neonates. You really had to take care of him/her or he/she "died".
10. Razor Scooters
We were still the generation that liked to go outside to play, and these razor scooters were one of the most fun inventions ever made. (Except maybe when the pointy sides hit your ankles.)
So if you were born in the nineties, I am sure you took a fun trip down memory lane.
