There are people that are graced with a baby face that make them look youthful even if they are much older. I am one of those people that were blessed and cursed with a baby face. A baby face comes in handy sometimes and also causes problems. Here are 10 things that are relatable to those who have been cursed with a baby face as well.
1. When you are handing your ID over to the bartender and they say “You don’t look your age.”
I have gotten this one a ton of times, especially when I went to the bar when I turned 21. I hear it over and over ,again and I'm waiting for those to get the hint that this isn’t my first time hearing it.
2. Still getting carded for R-rated Movies.
Yes, this still happens to me occasionally, but not as much anymore.
3. The fear of not being taken seriously at a professional work place.
I had this fear when I first started at my job because there are a lot of my coworkers that look older, and I would stand out like a sore thumb. It always scared me that people would say, "Are you even old enough to work here?"
4. For all the guys that try to grow facial hair to make them look older.
I have been told that facial hair makes me look a tad older, but I still have been told that I look like a high school student.
5. When you try really hard to act your actual age despite your youthful looks.
I know that I am aware of how I should act according to my age. But also at the same time, I let my inner child out.
6. Trying to dress your age, but end up looking like a small child in their Sunday best.
I actually don’t own that much clothing that fits my age such as beer logos or professional clothing like a suit. My closet consists of cartoons, movies and Disney related T-shirts—call me a big kid if you will.
7. People consistently telling you that you will look good when you are older.
I heard that looking young when you get older is a blessing, and I see it as a way to always feel young as I continue to grow up.
8. Using your youthful looks to your advantage like getting student discounts.
I’m still in college so I haven't really utilized this yet, I’ll have to when I graduate.
9: The reaction you get when you tell someone your age for the first time.
Everyone over-exaggerates when they find out my age, especially when I first started at my job.
10. The constant wish that you will look your age someday.
I don’t personally wish for this, but I know of people that are hoping this happens to them in the near future.
