Everyone wishes they could stay young and reckless forever. Growing up is a scary thing that a lot of us aren't ready for. Here's what you'll know how to do when you know it's time.
1. Know What You Deserve
Everyone loves the idea of random college hookups. Except within this new lifestyle, we forget who we want to be. Do you want to be remembered as the girl that slept with a guy every weekend? Do you want to be remembered as the guy that had a new girl over every night?
2. How To Dress Properly
At some point down the road, you’ll be able to dress in business casual every day and feel good about yourself.
3. How To Handle Your Alcohol
Once you hit your 20’s, being the sloppy drunk that’s throwing up every weekend won't be cool anymore. Instead, a casual night out with friends and a drink to catch up with old friends will be fun and relaxing!
4. Go On Real Dates
Somewhere along the path, we forgot what dating was like back in the old times: going out to dinner, going to a movie, going on a road trip. Not having to kiss the guy on the first night out. Not having sex until you’re truly in love.
5. How To Give A Real Apology
We all remember getting tattled on in elementary school or by a neighbor while playing kickball. We all remember our parents making us apologize, as it wasn’t nice to cut in front of people in line or not getting off the swing so the kid behind you can take a turn. We’re no longer little kids and giving out real, heartfelt apologies are meaningful.
6. Let Go Of Old Grudges
This is for all the ex-best friends out there.
7. Talk To Adults With Confidence
I remember growing up and feeling butterflies in my stomach and sick to stomach before a presentation or an interview. We’re adults now and it’s time to have some confidence in who we’ve become.
8. Be Independent
It’s time to have some self-confidence and love yourself. You don’t need anybody there to hold your hand anymore.
9. Manage Your Money
Now that we’re in college, having a job isn’t always the easiest thing. Spending money is definitely a bad habit. Learning how to say no would be a big step up in your life.
10. Appreciate The Little Things
We have it a lot better than a lot of people in the world, so it’s time to start appreciating it all: parents, friends, the opportunities we’re given, the job that might not be our dream but it’s still something, teachers, education. We have to quit complaining about all the petty things in life and make the most of what we’re given every single day.
