Ariel is my childhood favorite Disney princess. She’s a mermaid. She has fantastic ruby red hair. She has a colorful personality to match her fin and seashells. She’s adventurous. She likes to explore. She's a free-spirit. She’s independent. She’s strong-willed. She has a liking for the forbidden. She wants to learn about the actual people behind merpeople enemy #1, the humans. She has a sense of wonder. Her emotions are always transparent. What's not to like?
Here are several things I learned from this movie about a ginger haired fish person:
1. Unrealistic underwater hair expectations
2. This is the best way to get hair out of your face
3. Creepy sunken ships are the perfect location for explorations
4. Mermaids are ticklish too
5. Nothing is more comfortable than your bed
6. Being reckless is attractive
7. The "he loves me, he loves me not" method works
8. It's okay to not know
9. Flounder fish are mermaids best friends like dogs are peoples best friends
10. Always read before you sign
At lastly, just because I couldn’t help it. PUPPY ARIEL.
