If you haven’t watched "Scandal", I highly suggest you start right away. It’s been two weeks and I’m already on season four (so this won’t contain spoilers past the middle of season four). It’s definitely made me think our government is upto something (I’m looking at you, B61)! But overall, it’s just taken me on an emotional roller coaster I swear only Shonda Rhimes can. *Spoilers to follow!*
1. Olivia Pope is Jesus.

I mean, walk on water, cure the blind Jesus. This woman can make anything she wants happen. She’s kept an affair with the president secret for how long? The man built her a house for God’s sake! She takes people’s deaths and makes it look like they never happened. She has some serious power that’s definitely more than human.
2. Which makes Eli Pope GOD.

He’s the one man in the United States with more power than the president. Fitz wouldn’t stand a chance if he were left alone in a room with this man for more than 10 minutes. He’s conniving, he’s dangerous and he does it so well. This man is worse than Lord Voldemort and Darth Vader combined. He’s terrifying.
3. Eli Pope is also the devil.

Come on, man. Keeping your wife in prison for years is one thing and being a crazy leader of a secret government organization is bad enough, but killing someone’s kid? That crosses a line even I can support. Everyone else has their own pasts, but when you touch someone’s kids, you’re officially the devil.
4. Cyrus Beene for president.

Yes this man is lovable and hate-able all in the same breath of air, but he knows what he wants and he gets it. It’s admirable, to say the least. And sometimes we hate him and wish he’d do something different, but whatever he does, he won’t half-ass. You know he’s in it for the long haul. Let’s be honest, FItz wouldn’t run the country well at all if it weren’t for Cyrus, which leads me to my next point.
5. Fitzgerald Grant is useless as president.

Seriously? He didn’t even win the presidency the first time (thanks, Olivia and Cyrus), and the second time he won because of his son’s sudden death (thanks, Eli). Half the time he doesn’t even want to be president! Thank god you can only run for for two terms.
6. I have learned to love Mellie Grant.

Hear me out on this one first. Yes, she is annoying as all hell at some points, but let’s look at early season four Mellie. She’s living the dream (if we take away the dead son). She’s walking around in Uggs and sweatpants, no makeup, bowling and eating whatever she wants in the White House. She’s taking control of her own life, finally. She’s stupid, I don’t like her a lot of the time and I hated her up until this season for the most part. But the one thing she’s always done right? Being a mom, and that’s an inspiring quality for a woman to have. Her children come first.
7. If you’re the president, your children just disappear.

Can anyone tell me the last time we saw baby Teddy?
8. Huck is by far the most lovable character on this show.

Especially after the backstory of what happened to him and his family with B613. He has his flaws, and his relationship with Quinn is, well, confusing, to say the least. But in reality, he’s a simple man. He loves his family and I’ve been rooting since the flashbacks for him and his son to be together once again.
9. B613 is REAL.

Who else is now convinced this is how our government works? Because I am. Maybe it’s not called B613, but there’s gotta be something similar, am I right?
10. Shonda Rhimes will always have control of my emotions.

First "Grey’s Anatomy" and now "Scandal". I thought one TV show drama was bad enough, but now I’ve been sucked into another one. It’s an endless cycle and I haven’t learned to accept that yet.
