The first week of classes comes with a wide array of emotions. Some of them are good, some of them are bad, and some of them are in between. While nobody has quite the same experiences and thoughts, there some that are some that are universal.
1. "Yay school!"
The first day of school is always exciting, even if you don't really like school.
2. "I'm going to get so organized this year."
This is going to be my year. I'm going to actually use my planner and color code everything, it's going to be so great.
3. "Why are books so expensive?"
I'm not made of money and tuition already broke me.
4. "Wow this is a lot of work"
Looking at the syllabus can often incite panic when you realize just HOW MUCH you have to do this year.
5. "How am I going to do all of this"
There's no way I'll have time for all of this around my work schedule and my other classes and OH MY GOD I'M NOT OKAY
6. "I need a nap"
The only real way to handle problems is to take a nap, right?
7. "It's going to be a long semester"
This semester is going to take forever and there's no way I will survive
8. "What do you mean I have homework?"
How come I have homework on the first day of school??? What is this??
9. "I can't do this, I can't do this, I can't do this"
There's no way that I can make all of this work. I overbooked myself.
10. "I got this"
Confidence is key, even if you're faking it. Just be confident and somehow it will work.
