As a person who has probably watched the TV show Friends six times all the way through, I know for a fact that there are life lessons that I have learned that have helped guide me through my life.
1. It's okay to be weird; people will like you better by being yourself.
Much like Phoebe, we all have a weird side. Not all of us show it but when we do, it always exemplifies our characters. So be weird!
2. It's okay to embrace your inner child.
Each and every one of us has an inner child that is afraid to come out. Friends has taught us that we can all be kids even if we're in our 20s or 30s!
3. You really don't have to feel bad about what you eat and how much.
We all know how much Joey can eat... A twenty-pound turkey in fact. So if Joey isn't even sorry for how much he can and wants to eat, then you shouldn't either!
4. Sometimes your friends are your family.
The members of Friends spent years together, away from their families. They each became each other's family.
5. Never give up on the people you care about.
If there is definitely something to be learned from Ross and Rachel's relationship it is to never give up on the one you love.
6. It's okay to not take life so seriously.
Much like Chandler, who jokes about anything and everything about his life and everyone else's, you should learn to not take life so seriously. Joke about your situation instead of crying about it.
7. It's okay to not have your life together.
As college students, we have nothing together. But that's okay! We have our whole lives to figure everything out!
8. The real world can suck, but it's also pretty amazing.
Some of us have yet to face the real world, but when we do, but let us go into this new life with high expectations and the knowledge that it won't all be "hunky-dory."
9. You will always need your girls around.
I don't have very many female friends, but I know that they're always good to have around!
10. Don't ever let what people think affect you.
This is definitely something that you should never forget. Always be yourself. If someone doesn't like the real you, then they're missing out and don't deserve your friendship.
