Spring Cleaning, dreaded by most, appreciated by some.

Instead of the run of the mill spring cleaning, this spring branch out.

Here's a list of 10 things to clean besides just your house this year.

1. Your Phone

It's time to delete those screenshots from two semesters ago. The guy's number from summer 2K10 needs to be erased as well. Save yourself the embarrassment.

2. Your Liver

As college students, we are notorious for drinking. Do your body a favor a take a weekend, or even a week off.

3. Your Body

Continuing on the health kick, it's time for a detox. Even a three-day detox is great for your health.

4. Your Car

More than likely, you haven't cleaned out your car's air vents in some time. You also haven't vacuumed under your seats in months either.

5. Your T-shirts

Do you really need that ratty t-shirt from your sophomore year in high school with the huge hole in the armpit? Yeah, I didn't think so.

7. Your Toiletries and Make-Up

You do not need nine different shades of foundation. You do not need five matte brown eyeshadows. You surely don't need three types of heavy hair spray right? It isn't 1987. And seven different lotions all half used? You might have commitment issues you need to work through. Let spring cleaning help you with them.

8. Your Washing Machine

Okay, friends, that wash cycle is important. It is time to use it.

9. Your iCLOUD

Emails from when you were in the 8th grade have got to go. More than likely, they are taking up a lot of space on your precious iCloud. Take the plunge.

10. Your Heart

Spring is a time of renewal. Just let go of past pains and anger. Let the warm weather heal you. Feel that joy again.

Spring cleaning is a yearly ritual we all need to partake in. Realizing that cleaning doesn't just mean washing your comforter, and cleaning out your refrigerator, is vital to a clean and refreshing spring. Cleaning shouldn't just take place in your home.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
