The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) takes place every January in Las Vegas, Nevada. The purpose of the convention is to showcase the newest and greatest technologies. Segway, Intel, and Xiaomi have come together to create a Hoverboard Butler. When it is not being used as a hoverboard to get back and forth from places, it can carry groceries or answer the doorbell. Google Glass is a thing of the past. These stylish eyeglasses allow the wearer access to apps, such as maps or sports. They are not completely seamless, but they are definitely a step in the right direction towards wearable technology.
Hackaball
The world becomes more reliable on computers every day, therefore, we need people who can code. Learning code languages is not easy, but it might become a little less frustrating with the Hackaball. Kids can program the ball to change colors and also create games, so they will learn the basics of code. It has been titled a drone, but a "flying camera" might be more appropriate. This little guy is lightweight and can be worn around the wrist, like a watch. So, yes, this fridge is $5000, but it does much more than just keep veggies fresh and ice cream frozen. This fridge hosts 3 cameras that take pictures of the food within so that users can always know what's in the fridge via an app. It also has built-in speakers, so you can stream your music and also watch your favorite shows. This little gadget is the first ever wearable translator. No longer will people have to worry about language barriers when they travel. However, the device currently only supports English, Japanese, and Chinese and only contains a travel lexicon, but as the technology continues to develop a larger spectrum of languages and words is sure to be added.
