Running late is a task that I should receive a gold medal for. I have all the signs and symptoms of chronic lateness. With that aside I can proudly say I have learned many skills along the way. Like getting ready in under 5 minutes and eating and driving. I would only wish that others have the sane skill set of a chronically late soul.
1. Putting on makeup in under 5 minutes is a breeze.
You have probably put on your makeup using the mirror in your car between 3 different stop lights, but now you can do a full face of makeup like a pro.
2. Sometimes your friends aren't as understanding to your lateness
Especially those early birds who get up before the sun does.
3. Sleep is always more important, so getting anywhere in the morning is hard.
"I can make it in 5 minutes, I will just drive really fast" *hits snooze*
4. Looking at the clock is an actual, stressful, life event
"How did it get that late? I thought it was just 5 earlier"
5. Your friends have tell you a time a half hour early, so you will actually be prompt.
You think to yourself that you should be able to show up whenever, but in reality this is the real world. Everyone knows to tell you 6:30, not 7.
6. Speeding tickets are kind of your thing
Why drive the speed limit when you can get there faster?
7. In high school, you were given so many detentions for lateness
So many detentions, so little time.
8. Handing in assignments late is a habit that needs to be broken.
Deadlines stress you out more than anything else in the universe.
9. You have or almost have missed a flight or train before.
I thought they wouldn't take off for like 15 minutes!
10. And this awkward problem.
Why shouldn't I be able to feed my coffee addiction and be a few minutes late.
