Being obsessive is really quite the chore, which is something non-obsessive people don’t quite understand. The amount of emotional intensity that goes into obsessing over someone is insane. So for those of you who don’t quite understand what it’s like to constantly be obsessing over a celebrity, here is a step-by-step walkthrough down that horrible path.

1. Sometimes it’s love at first sight, sometimes it happens a long time after your first introduction, but there’s always that realization that takes you by surprise.

Oh no, you just had a very strong, grossly affectionate or intrigued feeling for them.

2. So, naturally, you try to keep it deep down inside. Denial is always better, right?

If you pretend not to like them, maybe you won’t actually like them. Play it cool at the very least.

3. But in reality, you’re looking up interviews on YouTube. Casually, of course.

The bad news is that yes, they really are that cute and/or interesting and/or funny.

4. You definitely don’t memorize their Wikipedia page.

That would be nonsense.

5. And you’re definitely not frantically reading every article you come across of them.

We’re all masters of Google searches.

6. You create a new folder on your computer or phone to start saving every picture you come across.

Word of advice: Google Reverse Image Search is your best, best friend.

7. And now you’re trying to figure out how you can fit their entire filmography/discography/whatever else into your schedule.

You should be finished in three weeks if you watch/listen to something whenever you can.

8. Your friends and acquaintances have started to associate that person with you ages ago, whether you like it or not.

They know how much you’re obsessing over them, even if you think you’re subtle.

9. But, of course, you finally have to come out and say that they’re your fave.

And you love your faves unconditionally (for the most part).

10. And then you start fighting people on the Internet over them.

A true rite of passage for any new celebrity you fall in love with.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
