The end of the semester is exciting, especially with the thought of a couple of weeks free of tests, essays and all of the other stress that comes with being a college student. But I think we can all agree that going home for break is always a little less exciting than you'd hope for. It goes a little something like this:
1. Finals end and you're finally free! You can't wait to see your friends, family, and most importantly your dog.
2. On the way home from school, a montage of all of your epic break plans fill your head.
3. You get to your room and remember the awesome stuff you left behind.
4. You sleep until at least 2 p.m. for the first three days home.
5. Hanging out and catching up with your home friends is great.
6. But then you realize only have a couple of friends from high school that you still like.
7. Your siblings start to annoy you again.
8. The family that's visiting for the holidays want to know everything about your life.
9. The endless hours of watching TV and laying in bed get old after a couple of days.
10. You miss your apartment, friends and freedom so much that you don't even remember finals, and you need to get back to school.
Sound about right?
