Finals are coming around and that means studying around the clock. Whether you like it or not, this is the time to get your study on and work for the final grades you deserve! With studying comes the unfortunate and dreaded all-night study sessions. All-nighters might be the death of you at the moment, but I promise you'll make it through.

1. Starting off strong.

You've got all of your study tools set up and that red bull on the table. Its crunch time and honestly you feel invincible at this point! Exam who? Nothing is going to come in between you and acing that test!

2. Realizing how much work there is.

Honestly, it only takes about 5 minutes before you realize exactly how much work there is to do and then the anxiety kicks in. If you're anything like me, you start to divide up your time in your head so you make sure you study every single chapter for the same amount of time!

3. Writing out more study guides than humanly possible.

With each chapter comes a new study guide. Writing out an outline for each chapter and getting all of the information down in the struggle. By the end, you've probably killed more trees than anyone else in the school.

4. Losing motivation.

Honestly, at this point do I even care if I get a good grade on the test? Oh yeah, that's right....my whole GPA is riding on this one class!!! If I have to look at another darn communication theory that I don't care about I'll lose my mind! This is my end...

5. Getting your second wind.

Obviously, after a well-deserved study break you're back in this and stronger than ever! Why did I ever doubt myself, I have so much energy and this exam will be a piece of cake!!

6. Realizing what time it is.

That clock keeps ticking and before you realize it, it's 3 A.M. and you realize that this it. You've gotta dedicate your whole night to this exam because you're too far in to turn back now! So chug that coffee and get back to business!

7. Stressing out and almost giving up.

Yeah, I take back what I said in #5...there is NO WAY this exam will be a piece of cake! I will definitely fail, which means retaking a class. And retaking that class means more money and I get left behind and my schedule will get messed up and I won't graduate on time. UGH! Keep breathing, somehow I'll make it through...

8. Losing your mind.

My brain has turned to mush. I can't remember a single thing that I've been studying for the past 6 hours, but that's totally fine! I don't even know what time it is or honestly what I am studying anymore. All I know is I just want to give up and sleep!

9. Taking an eating break.

Food breaks are a must. It's about 6 A.M. at this point and I need breakfast. Oh wait, no dining halls are even open! Well, McDonald's trip it is! Refuel and keep grinding! Nothing is going to stop me!

10. Going to take the exam.

Well, the test is here! Somehow I made it to this point, and I couldn't tell you how! Fingers crossed that I know this material because I didn't spend 8+ hours on this for nothing! That all-nighter took my soul but hey, at least I'll ace this exam!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
