As summer approaches, finals end, and vacationing begins the search for new music is on high alert. This last month, artists have been dishing out new music like it's their job (obviously). So, below are some new tracks you need to hear to kickstart your summer into gear.

1. "Line of Sight"- ODESZA (feat. WYNNE & Mansionair)

This could quite possibly be ODESZA's biggest hit. With deep, rhythmic sounds ODESZA tops their previous hit "Say My Name" with this new song. "Line of Sight" contains deep, rhythmic sounds great for any and every chill session this summer.

2. "PRBLMS" -6LACK

On the come up, Hip-Hop/R&B artist 6LACK has been dropping major hits all of 2017. Although his album "Free 6LACK" debuted in summer of 2016, 6LACK is just now being recognized for his major singer/songwriter abilities. Other popular songs from 6LACK include: "Ex Calling","Free", and "Luving You".

3. "Torches"- X Ambassadors

This Indie/Alternative group has been a house name since their hit song "Renegades" debuted on their most recognizable album "VHS 2.0". Last week, the dark alternative group made a pit stop through Knoxville, Tennessee for the University's annual music festival Volapalooza. The group performed songs from their latest album like "Naked", "Unsteady", and "Low Life". As an attendee, and quite possibly the only reason I went, I can attest to the fact that lead singer Sam Harris sounds the EXACT same live as he does in the studio.

4. "Now Or Never"- Halsey

A pre-release from her long awaited album "hopeless fountain kingdom", the alternative artist's newest song is everything one would expect it to be- dark, smooth, and hits you right in the feels. Halsey's fandom has surely grown since her collaboration with The Chainsmokers summer 2016 hit "Closer". Although it will be hard to top her 2015 album "BADLANDS", from the sounds of the pre-release of her new album, I'm sure that won't be hard to do.

5. "Young and Menace"- Fall Out Boy

This one is for those of you about to rock; the song from their new album is the perfect mix of alternative and electronic. Fall Out Boy has been a recognizable name since the early 2000's– and their new album is sure to be straight fire.

6. "Most Girls"- Hailee Steinfeld

Steinfeld has been dropping new music left and right the past year. Earlier this year she released a song with electronic veteran Zedd, and has been producing music ever since. This song is definitely one to listen to with your local girl gang.

7. "Doing It for the Money"- Foster the People

To sum up this song in two words– straight angst. Foster the People never fail to disappoint; this song is sure to be a big hit this summer. Now we can finally skip over their previous hit, "Pumped Up Kicks". You're welcome.

8. "Middle of the Night"- The Vamps & Martin Jensen

I'll admit that I feel a little bit like a middle school girl while listening to this song- however, I CAN'T HELP BUT YELL THE LYRICS EVERY TIME I HEAR THEM. This song is sure to set The Vamps as the new "It" boy band. RIP One Direction.

9. "Want You Back" HAIM

If you think you've heard this song in Forever 21, you're probably right. HAIM has really outdone themselves with this sure-to-be summer hit. If you're starting to think about that ex that really did you wrong and you're considering giving them a second chance- listen to this song.

Obviously, I've saved the best for last (in my totally biased opinion)...

10. "Moving On"- Marshmello

This is THE song of summer 2017. Whether you're moving on from graduating from school, a relationship, or negative part of your life this song is for you. I have no doubt this will be the most overplayed song at all music festivals this summer, and I don't even care. This song will hype you up whether you're super sad or super happy. #mellogang

As summer begins and you find yourself in your car wanting some new music, open up Spotify and be sure to give these songs a listen. Whether you're hyped up, in your feels, or at peace- there's a song (or several) for you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
