Let's face it, it's summertime and no one wants to be stuck inside at work all week when plenty of other fun things could be happening - road trips, bonfires with friends, and trips to the cottage. While I can't give you a get out of jail free card, these songs will help you last until the weekend.

1. "I'm Alive (Life Sounds Like)" - Michael Franti & Spearhead

Ever heard that song that goes "Say heyyyy, I'll be gone today....I love you, I love you, I love you"? The guy who sings that song also sings this one, called "I'm Alive," and it's just as catchy. I honestly can't remember how I found it but it's become one of my all-time favorites.

2. "Get Out - Casey Abrams"

Another one that I don't know how I found but it's become one of my favorites. You might recognize the artist- yes, it's that Casey Abrams from season 10 of American Idol. It's a breakup song, but it's very upbeat and you'll be humming it all day long.

3. "Keep Your Head Up - Andy Grammer"

Classic, upbeat pop song that just about everyone knows. It's cliche because it's such a good pick-me-up song.

4. "Brand New - Ben Rector"

I've heard this on the radio recently, and like "Keep Your Head Up," it's another upbeat pop song that will have you singing along.

5. "Good Life - OneRepublic"

Disney used this song in one of their TV commercials for Disney World, and now whenever I hear this song, all I can think about is Disney World.

6. "Ophelia - The Lumineers"

I got my little sister hooked on this catchy tune from The Lumineers' most recent album. "O-Ophelia, heaven help the fool who falls in love."

7. "Pencil Full of Lead" - Paolo Nutini

I love one of Paolo Nutini's other songs called "New Shoes," but this one's got an old-fashioned big band sound that I'm obsessed with.

8. "Bibia Be Ye Ye" - Ed Sheeran

After Divide came out, I was curious as to what "Bibia Be Ye Ye" meant. According to the internet, this phrase means "everything will be alright" in a language called Twi, spoken by the Ashanti people in South Ghana.

9. "Something That I Want" - Grace Potter

This song is on the Tangled soundtrack, which is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies. I used to listen to some of Grace Potter's music, and I still love this song.

10. "Celeste" - Ezra Vine

I discovered this song quite recently and it's become my new favorite song. It just makes me smile when I hear the opening few bars.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
