Life can be tough and sometimes I feel like I'm drowning. Music is one of the things in my life that matters most and when I feel like I've sunk so far below that there's no light, music can usually help me resurface. Here is a list of ten song lyrics that help me through life on a daily basis.

1) Tom Petty - I Won't Back Down

"No I'll stand my ground, Won't be turned around, And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down, Gonna stand my ground"

2) Jesse McCartney - We Can Go Anywhere

"Breakdown all the pressure that surrounds you, Allow it all to fade away, We can move on looking in the rear view mirror, Wave goodbye, Come on we're leaving everything behind"

3) Bon Jovi - It's My Life

"It's my life, It's now or never, I ain't gonna live forever, I just want to live while I'm alive"

4) Michael Jackson - Keep the Faith

"So Keep The Faith, Don't let nobody turn you 'round, You gotta know when it's good to go, To get your dreams up off the ground, Keep The Faith, Baby, yea because it's just a matter of time, Before your confidence will win out, Believe in yourself no matter what it's gon' take, You can be a winner but you got to Keep The Faith."

5) Poison - Nothin But A Good Time

"Don't need nothin' but a good time, How can I resist, Ain't looking for nothin' but a good time, And it don't get better than this"

6) Nickelback - If Today Was Your Last Day

"Each day's a gift and not a given right, leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind, And try to take the path less traveled by, That first step you take is the longest stride

If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late, Could you say goodbye to yesterday?, Would you live each moment like your last?"

7) Eminem - Not Afraid

"And I just can't keep living this way, So starting today, I'm breaking out of this cage, I'm standing up, I'ma face my demons I'm manning up, I'ma hold my ground, I've had enough, now I'm so fed up time to put my life back together right now!"

8) Aerosmith - Amazing

"You have to learn to crawl, Before you learn to walk, But I just couldn't listen to all that righteous talk, oh yeah, I was out on the street, just tryin' to survive, Scratchin' to stay alive

It's Amazing, With the blink of an eye you finally see the light, It's Amazing when the moment arrives that you know you'll be alright, It's Amazing and I'm sayin' a prayer for the desperate hearts tonight "

9) Michael Jackson - Smile (Charlie Chaplin Cover)
"Light up your face with gladness, Hide every trace of sadness, Although a tear may be ever so near, That's the time you must keep on trying, Smile, what's the use of crying, You'll find that life is still worthwhile, If you just...

Smile, though your heart is aching, Smile, even though it's breaking, When there are clouds in the sky, You'll get by..."

10) Christina Aguilera - Fighter

"'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do, I wouldn't know, Just how capable I am to pull through, So I wanna say thank you

'Cause it makes me that much stronger, Makes me work a little bit harder, It makes me that much wiser, So thanks for making me a fighter, Made me learn a little bit faster, Made my skin a little bit thicker, Makes me that much smarter, So thanks for making me a fighter"

All ten of these are songs that make me feel good and help me to try and have faith in myself when I start to lose it. They are highly inspirational to me and whenever I'm being slammed with a lot of work they've helped me through. Maybe they'll help you too!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
