Life is compiled of a bunch of simple and ordinary moments. Some of these moments happen to be simply beautiful. We know such moments are good ones when they're happening, but it may take us a second to stop and reflect on just how wonderful they are. Here are ten of these priceless moments.

1. Listening to a good song for the first time.

Nothing can compare to just lying in your bed at the end of a stressful day, giving yourself time to collect your thoughts and reflect in complete silence. No need to move--you can just curl up and think. A few beautiful minutes of absolute nothingness.

3. Cleaning your room (the outcome, not the process).

I hate cleaning more than anyone I know, but even I have to admit that a clean room is an amazing thing. Your life could be in shambles, but, if you have a neat room to resign to, it can make you believe that you actually have a grasp on things. Having clean space to spread seems so simple, but opens the door for endless opportunities to get things done.

4. Drawing your eyeliner to perfection.

"Eyeliner on fleek" is music to my ears. If you’re not one that really wears makeup, you might not get this one. But if you do, you know the delight of making your wings just right. Making them crisp and even on both sides is the struggle, but, when it does happen, it’s worth all the pain.

5. When clothing looks better on you than on the rack.

Nothing is more upsetting than when a cute top just doesn’t look the same once you try it on, but the flip side of that is amazing. When you see an article of clothing that you could definitely live without--or so you think--and you decide to give it a shot anyway, but it looks amazing on you...yeah, it feels just as amazing. It’s like an unexpected treat.

6. Taking off your makeup.

After a long day, nothing feels better than taking your makeup off. Having a fresh face, being able to rub your eyes without risking the smudge of mascara...both are pretty amazing things.

7. Taking a “Gram-Worthy” selfie.

For most normal people, it probably takes a few shots to get the right selfie. After a few minutes of adjusting angles, and possibly even lights, getting the right one is a thing of beauty. You'll know when it's the right one, the one that makes you question if it's even you on the screen. That one will go on Instagram as soon as possible, making all the failed attempts worth it.

8. Finding something you thought you lost.

Stumbling across something you thought was gone forever is a wonderful feeling. It can also be a major relief, especially if you’ve been stressing over it. Your countless prayers have been answered, and you literally could not be happier.

9. When you finish reading a book.

Nothing can make you feel more accomplished than finishing a book. It could be a children's book and you'll still feel like you've done something productive. As soon as you finish that last page, you feel a sense of pride, and may even feel wiser just for having finished it.

10. Daytime naps.

The only thing better than being able to take a nap in the middle of the day is actually taking one. Naps are just amazing. They allow you a little time to relax and wake up ready to take on the rest of your day. For a half hour right in the middle of the day, you just get to turn off your brain and not worry about anything.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
