Being a potato is a way of life. We have all experienced potato-like symptoms especially college students. We are lazy and proud, but we get the job done. Our lives are busy, and sometimes we forget to do everyday basic things. Who can blame us? We are just living our potatoey lives one day at a time. Unless you are Kim Kardashian, it is likely that you may have experienced at least one of the following potato symptoms.
1. You wear the same pajamas to bed every night-Big T-shirt and shorts for the win.
There is only one big T-shirt I like, so I will continue wearing it.
You haven’t washed your leggings in weeks and most likely your bra. They are just so comfortable, if I wash them they won’t feel the same..
You’re not even sure when the last time you showered was- seriously I can't recall.. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t yesterday but I’m like 99% sure I showered the day before that, but I don’t remember if I washed my hair or not?
- Your hair is full of dry shampoo- and the bottle is running low. My hair is kind of greasy so maybe people will think I just showered. And besides, straightening my hair takes so long, I should be able to get at least 4 days out of it.
- Your leg hair is like five inches long- as long as no one touches my legs no one will notice right? And I just can’t be bothered to shave, it takes so long and what if I cut myself?
- Your toe nail polish has been on since your senior year prom- I swear, toe nail polish can last through an apocalypse. My toenail polish lasts at least 10 times longer than my finger nail polish..
- Your mattress is starting to morph the outline of your body- Whenever you have down time, laying in bed is your go-to. Your bed+ your best friend.
- You’ve given up on doing your hair- Natural hair it is for today! Again. Maybe I’ll throw in a top-knot or high ponytail one of these days to mix it up.
- You’re not sure how much money is on your debit card-but your praying it is enough to buy some chipotle “Using your debit card is like using a gift card, not sure how much is on here but we will give it a try”
- All your selfies look like this
If you have experienced any of the above potato-like symptoms, you are not alone. One in one college students will experience some potato like symptoms in their lifetime. Being a potato is a natural part of life. Some people may call it lazy, but I call it life! Potatoes are the coolest people you will ever meet. Being a potato means surviving and thriving! College students are doing it all and more, so don’t blame us for being a bit slow-moving or out of it sometimes. We are the queens and kings of procrastination, sometimes we are a bit sleepy, but at the end of the day, we accomplish what needs to be accomplished, even if we haven’t showered :)
