In every group of friends, there is a mom. The mom is the responsible one (er, well, atleast more responsible than the others) and is there to take care of others. In my group, this would be me. Here are signs that you're mom:
1. Even if you're drunk, you're the most sober and end up taking care of everyone else: it's up to you to make sure that all of them get home safe and don't die of alcohol poisoning.
2. You make/buy everyone else food when they're down (or even when they're just too lazy to get some themselves): you never have food left because all your "kids" will eat it all.
3. You write everyone's grocery lists: tampons, toilet paper and water; somehow you have to constantly remind them to get these essentials.
4. You yell at them to get their assignments done on time: I have literally said to my friends before, "do your work first and then do someone" when they've considered skipping assignments for booty calls.
5. You constantly remind them that protection is key: you are definitely not ready for any little children to be running around and crying.
6. You worry if you haven't heard from them in a few hours: the motherly instinct will kick in and you'll keep sending anxious texts until you hear that they're alright.
7. You're in charge of the first-aid: somehow college kids manage to hurt themselves even more than little children do.
8. Your friends have actually called you mom: they all know who's the mama bear here:
9. You get exhausted sometimes, having to take care of everyone but.....
10. At the end of the day, you love your friends too much to be anything other than "mom"
