College is easily the most amazing, stressful, and interesting years of your life. Your freshman year, everything is so new and so unfamiliar that sometimes, you just need that one shoulder to lean on...or three. If you’re like me, you got beyond lucky with having such an amazing roommate, but you also got lucky to have amazing suite-mates.

1. You’re each other’s biggest fans!

Whether you’re cheering your suite-mates on at an event or for a class, you’re each other’s biggest fans. They are always there to support you and appreciate all your hard work.

2. What’s yours is theirs, and what’s theirs is yours!

Sharing is caring! When it comes to your closet, your suite-mates can always count on you for a quick and cute go to outfit. And vice versa. You’ve really hit the jackpot though if you all share the same shoe size.

3. They take care of you!

It doesn’t matter if you’re sick or sad, your suite-mates are always there to make you feel better and cheer you up! They are always there to wipe away your tears, hold your hair back, and give you the hug you really need. If you’re away from home especially, they are your quick replacement of a mom.

4. They are always willing to jam out with you!

If you’re getting ready to go out or you need a break from your work, you can always count on some good music to get you and your suite-mates hyped! They also appreciate a good “High School Musical” and “Hannah Montana” throwback as much as you do!

5. When you’re all apart, you miss each other like crazy!

You dread the times you’re not together. If you’re in class you miss them, if you’re home you miss them, when you’re in opposite rooms you miss each other. You’re with these people every day and you’ve become so accustomed to having them around all the time that when you’re not together a part of you feels half empty.

6. They motivate you!

When you’re procrastinating for an exam or project and have no motivation to do any of it, they are there to encourage you to do it! Though it may seem harsh at times, they have your best interest at heart.

7. They keep it real!

They are not afraid to tell you how it is. You trust their opinions more than anyone else’s. They also have your best interest at heart. Whether you want to hear it or not, they’re going to tell you how they really feel.

8. They are always willing to eat with you!

There is no one you rather eat Insomnia Cookies and Dominos at 1:30 in the morning with. They love being able to pig out with you wherever and whenever. The best part of always wanting to eat together, is the talks that come with them.

9. You’re never bored with them!

Is it a boring Saturday night or relaxing Sunday afternoon? Afraid you’ll have nothing to do? Your suite-mates will always have something for you all to do to occupy yourselves! Laughing over the dumbest things and having movie marathons all day are even better when you’re together.

And finally…

10. They’re your best friends!

Nothing compares to the love and bond between you and your suitemates. You become like family and nothing could ever replace that. The memories you’ll make with them will last a lifetime. You know that you’re living with the best people when you can’t picture going a day without them. I know I couldn’t be anymore blessed to live with some of my best friends. They’ve made the transition into college so much better and fill me with pure happiness.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
