10 Signs You Must Be A Phi Mu Girl
Lexcie Lewis

With recruitment fast approaching, excitement is building in our chapter of our potential new girls. Although our entire chapter is diverse, with girls from across Louisiana, girls from out of state, and girls who enjoy various hobbies, there are a few characteristics that all of us “Phi Mu girls” tend to almost always have:

1. You are obsessed with ladybugs and lions.

Your day is made when a ladybug lands on you and you have to suddenly have a photoshoot with said ladybug. Same with lions, your bed is overflowing with stuff lions and any chance you go to the zoo throwing a quat in front of the lion is a must.

2. You can pretty much throw a quat at any given time.

It's like your hands are programmed to automatically throw what you know. If you were a superhero your signal would be a quatrefoil in the sky that is pink.

3. You have mad love for Mary, Mary, and Martha.

They were the ones who started it all and you salute them.

4. Rose and white are more than just colors to you.

Your closet has magically changed to these colors and you have no regrets. You are constantly asking "does this come is pink?" Don't get me started on glitter.

5. Philanthropy isn't a job, it's your passion.

Any chance to give back to others you're the first one there and Children's Miracle Network Hospital has a special place in your heart.

6. You LOVE Phis aka new members of Phi Mu.

You are adopting everyone as your little and your apartment is the Phi spot.

7. Love, honor, truth is written EVERYWHERE.

On your car, hand, in the middle of math class there is not a notebook that is safe.

8. You can't stop talking about how amazing your sorority is and the fact that you were once called a fraternity.

It makes you feel extra cool that some of your jerseys say fraternity. You were truly the A1 since day 1.

9. When you're at a party and the DJ puts on the Phi Mu rap.

The party is now lit!!!!!!

10. You are thankful that you decided to rush.

You now can't imagine your life not having these amazing girls in your life. You are even more thankful to have gone Phi Mu.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
