With the holidays upon us and December only a few days away, I thought I should shed some light on the people who take Christmas to a whole new level. And okay, I might be one of those people. So if you're like me, then here are 10 signs that show you might be a little overly obsessed with Christmas.
1. Christmas music is an all year round experience for you.
Starting in November? That's for amateurs. You have your playlist and you start listening to it months before to remind you of your favorite holiday. There isn't an all year round Christmas station so you have to take it upon yourself to prepare your own music.
2. Black Friday is a sport for you.
There is no such thing as a leisurely Black Friday. You take it very seriously. If the store opens at 12 am, you're there 3 hours earlier waiting in the line of shoppers. You have your list ready to go and you're ready to knock down anyone who stands in your way.
3. You freak out at the thought of Christmas.
You get the butterflies in your stomach and the shakes when you think of the Christmas tree and the white snow covering the ground. Nothing excites you more than the thought of Christmas day and all the cheer that comes from the holiday.
4. You have your Christmas List made months in advance.
You made your list in August and you printed out 10
5. You spent over 50 dollars on Christmas air fresheners.
Going to Bath and Body Works and Yankee Candle is a holiday all on its own. The thought of Christmas smells in your house is all you dream of during the summer and now that the scents are out, you have to stock up by getting at least 5 of every scent available.
6. Starbucks is a morning ritual. Every morning.
Now that the peppermint mocha is out, you have to go as many times as possible so that you get the full Christmas experience. If the drink is sold out, it's most likely because of you. If it is sold out, you'll go to another location.
7. You force your pets into the Christmas spirit.
Christmas isn't Christmas without the ugly Christmas sweaters and that means you have to make your pets wear every themed costume you can possibly find.
8. You are constantly baking.
One can find you in the kitchen during December baking up cookies. Christmas cookies are only available a couple months. Just think: you have the rest of the year to lose weight from all the baked goods you ate!
9. You can quote Christmas movies like it's your job.
Not only do you know the movie Elf from beginning to end, but you also know many lines from all the Christmas classics like Christmas Vacation, The Christmas Story, and Home Alone. Not only do you watch these movies in December, but you make it a rule to watch these movies all year round.
10. Target is your home.
You spend more time in Target than you do your own house the month of December. Who can blame
And if you aren't overly obsessed with Christmas, then what are you doing with your life? Probably saving money and time, but being obsessed with Christmas is the best part about the holidays!
