As much as a banality as this phrase is, college seems to have passed by in the blink of an eye. Wasn't freshmen move-in day just last week? The thought that college is coming to an end is both exciting and terrifying. The last three and a half years (or more - no shame in being a super senior!) of your life have been fun-filled, thrilling, stressful, and totally worth it. Here's to the last couple of months before the real world starts!
1. You’ve come to the realization that naps aren’t a part of the real world and don’t know if you’re ready to accept that.
What do you mean I'm not allowed to take a nap at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday?
2. You have mastered writing a paper 12 hours before it’s due because procrastination.
Um, 2,500 words and 12 hours until the deadline? No biggie, you've been training for this your entire college career.
3. You have more t-shirts with your school’s logo on them than will fit in your drawer.
Seriously though -- where do they all come from? Pretty sure I could make about seven t-shirt quilts with the number of shirts I've accumulated over the past three and a half years.
4. All-nighters don’t even phase you anymore.
Who needs sleep when there is homework to be done, flashcards to be made, words to be typed and a social function to go to?
5. If you see another package of Ramen noodles you might cry.
Ringing up at a whopping 20 cents per package, does this really need an explanation?
6. The amount of caffeine you require to function properly is a little scary.
Freshman year required one cup. Senior year requires four cups, two espresso shots and a can of Red Bull all before noon.
7. You’ve finished more series on Netflix than you’re willing to admit.
Yes, Netflix. I do wish to continue watching. Don't judge me.
8. You’ve mastered the art of finding the good parking spots on campus.
This technique may or may not include offering to drive people to their cars for the sole purpose of taking their spot when they leave.
9. You ventured to the career services department and somehow left the office more confused than when you entered.
Resume? Cover Letter? References? Job Fairs? Recruiters? Staffing agencies? What?
10.If you hear the question ‘What are your plans after graduation?’ one more time you might crack.
Most of us have very little idea what we're actually doing with our lives, so as soon as we figure it out, we'll let you know.
