10 Signs You're A Concert Junkie

According to Urban Dictionary definitions, a “concert junkie” is one who goes to many concerts. The feeling of anticipation waiting for the artist(s) to come on stage is indescribable. If you’re someone who lives for that feeling, here are ten signs that you are a concert junkie.

1. Saving up money just to spend it on concert tickets

Picking up a part-time job and saving your minimum wage paychecks just to blow $200 bucks on one show.

2. Experiencing “post concert depression”

You know it’s bad when you went to a concert over a week ago and you still feel like there’s a gigantic gaping hole in your heart – yup, that’s me right now.

3. You get chills when the lights go down and the first song begins every single time.

The rush of adrenaline runs through your veins and the hair on the back of your neck stands up at the sight of your favorite performer coming on stage.

4. You plan out the entire night down to the minute

Arriving a few hours early, standing on line, knowing exactly when the doors will open, and knowing that each act will come on approximately 20 minutes late. You know the drill.

5. Entering radio station contests

Listening all day every day to qualify for Meet and Greet passes, or trying to win free tickets, the die-hard concert goers never give up. Maybe you’ll get lucky and win Justin Bieber meet and greet passes (yup, that’s me too).

6. Traveling out of state just for a show

Dedication at its finest means driving hours on end just to sit in nosebleed seats for your favorite musician.

7. Concert people are your favorite people

You’re all there to share a love of music, to share happiness, and you may meet some potentially lifelong friends at a concert.

8. Following your favorite musicians on all social media platforms to stalk them at all times

Just to see where they are performing and stuff, right? Right.

9. Your excuse to skip plans is “I can’t, I’m going to a concert.”

I'm sure they've heard that a million times.

10. Being at a concert feels like being at home

It’s right where you belong.

If most or all of these things apply to you, it’s safe to say you’re a concert junkie!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
