Personally, band camp has been one of the most unique and exhilerating experiences of my college career. However, there are certain sacrifices one must make in order to reap the benefits of being surrounded by over 300 highly intelligent individuals with the a similar passion for the music arts.
You know you're at band camp when:
1. You find bits of turf (turf turds) in places where turf does not belong
2. Your calves become indestructible from constant marching
3. The phrase "one more time" means nothing
4. Fourth meal is a necessity rather than gluttony
5. You are blessed with an amazing tan or a horrific sunburn
6. Water becomes a hot commodity
7. Group sickness is inevitable
8. You find extreme joy in buffet lines
9. The outside world ceases to exist
10. One phrase of music becomes your entire life
But it's all worth it in the end, when you get to perform in front of your fellow students and thousands of others!
