Netflix can sometimes feel like has it has an overwhelming plethora of TV and movie choices but sometimes it feels like it doesn't have anything good either. My sister just recently asked me what to watch on Netflix and I gave her some suggestions which triggered this idea for this article. In case anyone hasn't been watching these shows, you should start now. They are phenomenal.
1. Stranger Things
It is only eight episodes, but it's an '80s themed Netflix-original thriller TV show about a boy who goes missing, a girl with superhuman powers, and strange creatures roaming around the small town of Hawkins, Indiana.
2. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Another Netflix Original TV show about a girl who was living in a bunker in —you guessed it — Indiana, but is now on her own for the first time in NYC with her roommate and best friend, Titus. Definitely worth binge-watching.
3. Orange is the New Black
This Netflix original series exposes the reality of spending life in an all women's prison. It is based off of one woman's real story, and it also provides the audience with a little bit about the women's life before prison.
4. Gilmore Girls
A story of a mother and daughter and how they navigate love, friends, and life in a small town of Stars Hollow. It is so good Netflix is doing a reboot.
5. Friends
If you haven't seen it already, you really should be already watching it. It is the greatest comedy ever, in my opinion. What is better than six friends living life in NYC? If you haven't seen it, get started you have ten seasons to get through.
6. Scandal
Once again, if you have been behind on good television, catch up! Scandal is all about a woman in PR having an affair with the President...and some other scandalous things.
7. One Tree Hill
Throwback to the early 2000s and relive your high school years with this CW TV show about high schoolers, brothers, and basketball.
8. Baby Daddy
A lighthearted comedy about a charming bachelor who gets an unexpected delivery in the form of his daughter. He has the support of his mom, his best friend, his brother and childhood friend, all of which have their own lives too. It's super funny and a quick binge.
9. The Walking Dead
I feel like at this point everyone and their mother has seen this show. But for those who haven't, it's about a zombie apocalypse and how a large group of people try to survive.
10. Parks and Recreation
The title says it all. It's likeThe Office, but instead of filming employees at a paper company, the show is set at the Parks and Recreation Department in Indiana. Also, Amy Poehler plays a hilarious, eccentric boss.
Next time you question what to watch on Netflix, have no stress! Just try one of these ten shows, I promise you won't be disappointed.
