Whether you are spending your summer on the beach or working a job, we all have those lazy days once in a while where all we want to do is watch TV. If you haven't already watched these shows, this summer is a great time to start!

1. 90210

If you can't make it to the beach this summer, this show is pretty close to the real thing and will have you dreaming of a life in Beverly Hills in no time.


2. Gossip Girl

We all wish we lived the lives of these Upper East Siders.

3. The Carrie Diaries

Although it has only two seasons, this show is a must watch for those with a love of fashion and the city.

4. Grey's Anatomy

Even with the numerous deaths of everyone's favorite characters, you'll still get addicted.

5. How I Met Your Mother

Neil Patrick Harris. Enough said.

6. Friends

Sure, you have probably watched this show a million times just like the rest of us. Rewatching this classic never hurts, though.

7. One Tree Hill

I felt this show was a bit slow in the beginning, but reaching the later seasons you won't be able to stop watching!

8. That '70s Show

The show that started it all for Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

9. The Vampire Diaries

While I have yet to watch it, my sister seems pretty obsessed.


10. 30 Rock

After my trip to 30 Rock to see Jimmy Fallon, I was inspired and began watching this fun comedy.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
