Chances are you've heard of a little thing called "Netflix." If you haven't by now, you should. Netflix is an monthly-paid online television/movie subscription service with THOUSANDS of options to choose from. That might seem a little overwhelming to some, leaving you spending more time scrolling through the options than actually watching some quality entertainment. These are my 10 favorite binge-worthy Netflix shows. (WARNING: May cause extreme procrastination!)
1. "Grey's Anatomy"
This show follows surgical intern Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) as she follows in her famous mother's footsteps and begins working at Seattle Grace Hospital. This show will make you want to spend 7 years in med school just to say the words "push one of epi."
2. "Pretty Little Liars"
Can you keep a secret? PLL features Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Aria (Lucy Hale), and Emily (Shay Fields), old high school friends brought back together after an unknown blackmailer threatens to spill the beans on a dark secret from their past.
3. "Orange is the New Black"
You've got plenty of time to enjoy the story of Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), a goody-two shoes who's previous relationship lands her a spot in jail years later. The best part is that this show is based on a true story. (Season four comes out June 18th)
4. "Once Upon A Time"
For all those who fell in love with Disney as a child, Once Upon A Time brings those fairy tales to life once again. In Storybrooke, Maine, residents live their day to day lives just like you and me, but there's one twist: they're famous story characters. Why are they living there and why can't they remember their other lives?
5. "How I Met Your Mother"
This show is legen-wait for it...dary! Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) tells the epic tale of how he meets his children's mother. Joined by his closest friends, this series will make you smile, laugh, and cry. Don't forget your yellow umbrella!
6. "American Horror Story"
If you love horror, drama, and unexpected twists, you'll love this series. Not only does the theme change every season (from a haunted house to a freakshow carnival), but somehow these stories are all tied together. Grab your favorite blanket and a flashlight, you don't want to watch this show in the dark.
7. "The Walking Dead"
Zombies, guts, and brains, oh my! This series is about a man named Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and a group of friends/family as they try to survive in a post-apocalyptic zombie-filled world. However, sometimes the zombies aren't the worst enemy they have to face.
8. "Friends"
Another hilarious sitcom, Friends is a story of six friends (Ross, Phoebe, Chandler, Monica, Joey, and Rachel) just living their lives the best they can in New York. They face many issues and get by with the help of each other.
9. "Breaking Bad"
A lot of people call Breaking Bad the "best series of all time." Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a high school Chemistry teacher, gets diagnosed with stage three cancer. He knows his end is near, but how is he suppose to provide for his family after he goes? With crystal meth, of course! This series follows his last days. Get your hazmat suits ready!
10. "That '70s Show"
This series follows a group of teens (played by some serious talent, including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis) living in the suburbs in the '70s. The group tends to get into a lot of crazy shenanigans, but sometimes their best moments are in Eric Forman's (Topher Grace) basement.
Happy watching!
