10 Scenarios You'll Experience At A UCF Bar

As a UCF student, one of the perks of our campus is having three bars within walking distance of campus. At any college bar, students are bound to run into some crazy situations. However, at UCF bars, there are 10 scenarios that are very likely to happen to anyone that attends any of them. What are they? I am glad you asked!

1. You're a senior and you're getting hit on by a freshman.

This one happens more frequently than people realize. Someone is always trying to score at a UCF bar and no one really knows how old someone else is by first impressions alone. The freshman hitting on a senior in a bar scenario happens way too often and it's a show that I would (always) pay money to see.

2. Getting the sudden urge to make out with a random stranger.

Some of you may point the finger at some of your friends for this scenario but don't laugh, because there is a good chance that you may have done it, too! For some odd reason, drunk people just like to make out with anything that moves, and it's never a good sight. Cover those mouths, knights. Some of the people y'all make out with aren't as clean as you think they are.

3. Raids.

Orange County Police will sometimes decide to raid the bars and catch anyone that's drinking underage. Solution? DON'T DRINK UNDERAGE. This stuff is real and getting arrested is something that you really don't want.

4. Bar hopping.

Thanks to the vicinity of our three bars within UCF's campus, bar hopping is a very common practice amongst students. Just be prepared to pay a lot of money if you do decide to do this and NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE.

5. Drunk dancing/grinding with your ex.

Sometimes, you just don't even care and you just do it to do it. Results may vary, but just know this one happens a lot more than you think.

6. The "drunk before 10 p.m." drunk.

The turn-up is too real sometimes and people start drinking a little too early. Be wary of these people, it's never pretty, and that hangover is gonna be hell the next morning.

7. Being the guy that throws up in front of a security guard.

Again, sometimes the turn-up is too real ... so real that the security guard feels it – on his shoes. I encourage you to try and not throw up near the security guards, they honestly don't get paid enough with the amount of things they have to deal with each night.

8. Being the girl that just turned 21 and has one of those large signs.

If you're a girl, and you just turned 21, and you don't have a sign, are you really living up your birthday the correct way? No, of course not! Signs are fun, the tasks are daring, and they create lasting memories. For the people involved, however, it's a whole other story.

9. Ladies Night and Happy Hour.

These two fall under the same category because you can't really explain them, you just need to experience them.

10. Having memories that you don't remember, but are reminded of thanks to Snapchat.

UCF bars can create a lot of memories for some people. Most people remember what happens to them, but there are certain individuals that can't seem to piece the night together for the life of them. However, now that most drunk people use Snapchat, it's easy to remember your drunken escapades!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
