10 Romantic And Inexpensive Date Ideas For Couples

1. A dinner for two underneath the stars

Pick one of her favorite dresses and lay it out on the bed with a note that says, "I want you to wear this tonight." You don't have to wine and dine her at a five-star tavern. A romantic stroll in the park with a bottle of wine and take-out from her favorite restaurant will do just fine.

2. Go apple picking

Other than pumpkin pie, what's sweeter in the fall than going apple picking with your S/O? Not only is it free, but unlike going to the movies, you can reconnect with her while you spend time together. Then later that evening you can make a delicious apple pie together!

3. Take a hike

Tell me, what's more romantic than a beautiful view? I don't think there's anything better than gazing at a breathtaking scenic overlook together. Take a polaroid or disposable camera and take pictures for memories to keep forever.

4. Go on a picnic

A cheap bottle of wine and deli sandwiches and a bouquet of flowers from the grocery store, and voila, a sweet and thoughtful date! It's simple, but it'll make her day.

5. Build an epic fort

What could be cuter than a fort of pillows and blankets accompanied by a bottle of wine (or beer) and a large pizza with a movie / television show playing on your laptop? This is especially perfect for the colder weather. Take this time to be affectionate and let her know how much she means to you.

6. Go to a flea market

Now I know what you're thinking. What's romantic about a flea market? Not much, I'll admit, but they're some really interesting things to be seen there! You don't have to buy anything, you can hold hands and walk around and enjoy spotting nostalgic items from your childhood, or maybe even your parents' childhood! If you want to spend a little money, you can buy some vintage clothes and take pictures later to keep for a special memory!

7. Recreate your first date

This is a really special and fun thing to do on an anniversary, but you can do it anytime you want to remember that day where you fell in love with the way she smiled at you. This is a date that will make her swoon!

8. Tour a local brewery or winery

This isn't the most intimate date on the list, but it's one of the most interesting. Think of all the cool people you'll meet together. And it's free! Need I say more?

9. Take a walk or bike ride on a trail

This is another wonderful way to reconnect with each other and burn calories at the same time!

10. Role-play outside the bedroom

Pretend you're meeting each other for the first time while you're out shopping, or better yet, that you're already married! This is a fun way to spice up the night and give yourselves a glimpse into the past.... or future!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
