1. Live Like You Were Dying

Looking back at loved ones lost this song hits home really hard. We all want what's best for the ones we love, especially in their dying moments. I can say 100% that I live my life everyday according to this song. Life is taken for granted every day, and it's short lived. So, I encourage you to live like you were dying. Embrace every new day as a a new journey and live it to it's fullest.

"Someday I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying"

2. Always Stay Humble and Kind

The world we live in has become a scary place. People have forgotten that regardless or color, ethnicity or background we are all the same. We bleed the same blood, and the hearts that beat in our chests are all made of the same tissues. This is the kind of song I want to hear on a summer day, with the windows rolled down and the sun shining. Be humble and kind. We all need each other to make it through this crazy life.

"Hold the door say please say thank you, don't steal, don't cheat, and don't lie. I know you've got mountains to climb, but always stay humble and kind"

3. You Find Out Who Your Friends Are

As we grow older it becomes more apparent that good friends can be hard to come by. Friendships slip away as time goes on. The ones you thought would never leave you were the first ones to throw you under the bus when sh*t got hard. Then there's the ones who you were least expecting. They stood up during you hard times and they said, "I'm here for you". Those are the friends you find that will never fail you.

"Everybody wants to slap your back, wants to shake your hand, when you're up on top of that mountain. But let one of those rocks give way, then you slide back down. Look up and see who's around then"

4. Just To See You Smile

We all have that one person in life that we would do ANYTHING for to see them happy, whether they know it or not. This song shows that old feelings, just like old habits, die hard. I know I have my special someone I would do anything for if it would make them smile, but the most important part of this is that I know he would do the same for me.

"Just to see you smile, I'd do anything that you wanted me to. When all is said and done, I'd never count the cost. It's worth all that's lost. Just to see you smile"

5. This Ain't Nothin to Die For

Life throws us all curve balls, and we deal with the cards we're dealt in different ways. It's so important to always remember in those times, and all the time, what you're living for. Whether it be your kids, your wife, your career. We all make mistakes, but always tell yourself this ain't nothin to die for.

"There's a whole lot of things you say you're living for. You've got to fight it somehow, stop and turn around. Cause this ain't nothin to die for"

6. Better Than I Used To Be

Everyone has a past filled with a few demons that they wish they could let go of. We have all made decisions that at the time felt right, but proved not to be. The good news is, who were were isn't who we have to be. There is always room for change. If you want it, you can have it.

"But I'm learning who you've been ain't who you've got to be"

7. That's How I'll Always Be

Growing up in one place compared to another does shape who you become. We all are set in our own ways. Some of us prefer shopping malls, small dogs, manicured nails and convertibles (Elle Woods), while others enjoy camp baseball hats, jean shorts and fish on a line. Of course, there is the group of people who find themselves happily between both categories. Whoever you are, and whatever you like, if you're happy with what you're doing that's how you'll always be.

"Sunset skies, bonfire nights, I love the simple things. That's how I'll always be"

8. Meanwhile Back At Momma's

We all know the feeling of walking through or mama's front door when life has been a little rough. The comfort you feel in the middle of winter when the warm air hits your face as you open the door. The security you feel when your mom wraps her arms around you and tells you everything will be okay. The happiness you feel being in your old bedroom. I think one of the biggest things people in today's generation take for granted is their parents. Think about that next time you go home to visit your mom and dad.

"Meanwhile back at mama's the porch light's on, come on in if you wanna"

9. My Best Friend

If you're in a relationship where your significant other is also your best friend, you're one of the lucky ones. You have found someone who will take you out on dates, but is just as happy staying home with you watching netflix, with nose strips and pajamas, laughing at each other over a carton of ice cream. If you have ever listened to this song and the above description sounds like you, this should be self explanatory.

"Life with you makes perfect sense, you're my best friend"

10. It's Your Love

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
