10 Reasons Why Your Dog Is Better Than People

As many people as you see in a day, they may never compare to your dog(s). Having a dog for a pet does not make the dog a "pet" by any means, it's just another member of one's family. Your dog(s) and you not only grow in age and size throughout your lives, but the love you have for each other grows as well along with an unbreakable bond. Nothing nor no one could ever replace your dog(s). Here are 10 clear reasons why your dog(s) is/are better than people...

1. They listen intently:

Venting to your dog(s) or any dog is easy and the cute sympathetic look they return guarantees they understand what you are going through.

2. They are the best cuddling companions:

Your dog(s) are way more comfortable to hold and watch a movie with than anyone or anything else.

3. They are the best car ride companions:

Your dog(s) will never argue with you on what song is going to play next. They will never complain about your driving either, instead they will sit back and enjoy the ride.

4. They are always happy to see you:

Dogs always greet you when you come home. Your dog(s) will always have a smile on their faces when you come home; whether it's been five minutes or the whole day,

5. They are nonjudgmental:

The only thing that matters to a dog is if you love them, show it and care for them, everything else is irrelevant to your dog.

6. Dogs can always put a smile on your face:

Between doing silly things (like getting their heads stuck in the food dish) to the most adorable things (like giving actual hugs), dogs know the way to make anyone smile.

7. Dogs are never rude:

Your dog(s) can and will never insult you or give you an attitude, they can only give you love.

8. You can never stay mad at them for that long:

No matter how many pairs of shoes, rugs, furniture your dog(s) may have destroyed over the years, it never took long for them to give you an apologetic look and all was forgiven. Dogs make it difficult to stay upset with for long periods of time.

9. They will walk to the ends of the Earth with you:

OK, maybe not to the end of the Earth... But dogs will gladly go on any normal walk with you and will always be there for you in any situation.

10. They truly are your best friend:

You cannot imagine your life without your dog(s), life would just not be the same if it was not for your dog(s).

If you haven't already today, give your dog(s) some extra TLC and possibly an extra treat.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
