1. She bakes all of your meals for you.
It's true. She'll make you your favorite meal when you're home on break to make up for the cafeteria food. And anyone who cares enough about you to make you your favorite meal deserves to be appreciated.
2. She birthed you into this world. And she can take you out of it.
She disciplined you and brought you up well to know right from wrong. You know that listening to Mom is the better life choice for both you and her. But you're glad that you were brought up the way you were and hope to pass it on to your future kiddos.
3. She sat down and helped you with your 7th grade math homework after you lost all mathematical memory.
Hours and hours of tears (mostly on my end, although I'm pretty sure hers, too), but you re-taught me in a year what I never could've done on my own.
4. She takes care of you when you're sick and not feeling so hot.
Mono was the worst four and half weeks of my life, but you made it better with your servant heart, Mom. Thanks for helping on get the road to recovery a little quicker. You asking, "What can I do for you?" humbled me more than you realize.
5. You know she loves you no matter how angry she is at you.
And you always love her, no matter how frustrated you get with her.
6. She's a hard worker and made sure to pass on her work ethic to you.
You may not have too much in common, but she made sure to instill that "get 'er done" attitude into your being. Nothing stands in my way now.
7. She raised you in the faith.
Thank you for being a role model of what faith should look like in a mother, wife and friend. I look up to you more than you know.
8. Growing up, you thought her wisdom was a bunch of crap. But now you realize you should've been taking notes all those years.
WHY CAN'T I COOK A MEAL LIKE MY MOTHER. WHY DO I RUIN SO MANY LOADS OF CLOTHES IN THE WASHER. CRAP. WHERE IS MY MOTHER.
9. She's only a phone call away, no matter where you are.
Hey, sometimes I miss you. And they totally invented unlimited calling minutes for things just like this, just saying.
10. Despite anything, you can't help but think of your mom as the Best Mom to Ever Exist.
I didn't get to choose my mom, but God sure knew what He was doing when He chose you as my mother.
