Growing up with sisters, you would never think they would ever be your best friends. You fight and holler when growing up, but they will always be the ones there for you. They will be your ultimate best friends.

1. They have to like you

As your family, they have to like you. They have no choice. Enough said.

2. Fights never last

When you have so much in common, you’ll fight. These fights can be over the stupidest things, but you want to be right over your sister. You never want to be the sister that in wrong. I don’t know about anyone else, but I will fight until I’m right. Because my sisters are just like me, they will also fight until they are right. We will be in a fight for months, but we always make up in the end. Sometimes you just have to be the bigger person and do what you have to do to make it right.

3. You're practically twins that can read each other’s mind.

If you’ve never said the same thing at the same time, are you really sisters? My older sister and I are constantly saying the same thing at the same time, even in the same voices. As sisters, you have a special power where you can tell exactly what they are thinking at least 90 percent of the time. You can read their faces in almost any situation. The good thing about this is that you can also tell when they are lying to you. It’s honestly great.

4. They will lie for you

Sorry Mom and Dad, but this happens. Your sisters will be the ones to lie for you when you need them to because they will always be nosey about your life and they will ask you questions. When there is something you want to do, but don’t want your parents to know, your sister will be there to keep up your lie. Have no fear, your sisters will be there. (You may have to do something for them in return though).

5.They are always honest to you, though.

They won’t tell you want you want to hear, they’ll tell you what you need to hear. You need to listen. They are there to hear all the stuff that everyone, especially your family, says about you. They know what everyone thinks about you. When they say you are doing something wrong, you’re doing something wrong.

Don’t just blow off their honesty, and don’t get mad over it. We all know that even our best friend isn’t always honest when it comes to how you are. They don’t want to hurt your feelings. Your sisters don’t care about your feelings. They are honest because they love you.

6. You never feel embarrassed around them

No matter how stupid you get, you will never be embarrassed in front of your sister. Chances are, they’ve done something worse. I can’t even begin to go over everything I’ve done that would be embarrassing to everyone else but my sisters.

They will laugh at you, bring it up about fifty times and bring it up at family holidays. So yes, they will tell people, but they will never judge you over it. It will always be a funny story you two will look back on.

7. You can talk about anything

If there’s anyone that will understand you, it’s your sisters. Because of the connection you have with them, you can’t help but tell them things. They will let you talk about anything you need to talk about, and they will listen. They may not like what you tell them, but they will listen. Through listening, they will probably give you good advice, too. So, don’t be ashamed to talk to your sisters. They will be the ear that’s always listening.

8. No one understands you like they do

This is the truest thing I will say. No one will ever understand you like your sisters will. Growing up together is the best way to understand someone. They have seen everything you’ve been through and everything that’s happened to you. They know the person you are, and they can see who you are going to be.

9. They always have your back no matter what

Ever had your sister go off on someone for you? I have. Your sisters are the only ones that can bully you and not allow anyone else to. They will take down the bullies for you.

They will also have your back against your parents. They understand your side of arguments more than their parents' side.

10. They will never leave you

It’s not only because they are your family. Everything that I’ve listed is why your sisters will never leave you. You will always have a best friend in your sisters.
