10 Reasons Why Your Mom Should Be Your Maid Of Honor
10 Reasons Why Your Mom should be Your Maid of Honor

Like any middle
school girl, I would play MASH or plan out my wedding with my friends. I always wanted to make sure I would have the perfect dress, the perfect location, and not to forget, the perfect man. But I would also spend a lot of time thinking about who I wanted my maid of honor to be. I agreed with my friends, that she
would have to be my best friend, since diapers. The one that I shared all my deepest darkest secrets with. Then, reality set in and I didn't have one of those best friends because I had moved in grade school. Also, I found out over my high school years, that girls can be two-faced. Thirdly, let's face it, people often grow apart overtime. Don't get me wrong, I have the best friends a girl
could dream of, but there is no one that has been through EVERYTHING with me except my Mom. She has been to every dance recital, volleyball game, doctor's appointment, shopping trip, and well, everything in my entire life. And if she
wasn't there, I spent hours telling her what happened, if I had fun or of it was the worst time of my life, and she would listen (still listens) to my endless rants. And it finally clicked, she would have to be my Maid of Honor one day.
Some other reasons to why I have come to this conclusion are the following:
1. she is your only true "day one"
2. not to mention she birthed you so
this makes this fact even more prominent
3. She will be the most honest when
you are trying your wedding gown on because she wants you to look breathtaking
4. she will be the best planner because she knows your dislikes and likes,
better than anyone ever
5. not to mention, she's hosted plenty of parties so why
not your wedding?
6. she is the first person you call when your upset, so if
your a trainwreck or just having the marriage jitters, she'll be there to calm
you down (and it will actually help a lot because she has been married for 30
plus years)
7. and you'll never be that bridezilla cuz your mom will tell you
that you are being a brat and will never take your nonsense8. but she never hesitates to stand up for you if the wedding cake man is ripping you off
9. not to mention, if you don't have a sister, you won't have to contemplate which
friend means the most to you and hurt their feelings when you pick the high school bff over the college bff
10. she will cry the most out of all your
bridesmaids because she is the happiest person there. This is because she sees
that you are happy and loved like you deserve and this is makes her heart feel
complete.

So if you still aren't sure about who you want as your maid of honor, think about who you would want standing right next to you on your wedding day. The woman I choose will be the one who has been there for me ALWAYS, someone I admire, a woman I know for a fact loves me unconditionally, my
biggest supporter- my best friend.

You're my rock Mom, I love you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
