10 Reasons Why You Love Your Pet More Than You Love Humans

It's a dog eat dog world out there – unless you spend most of your time locked in your apartment avoiding said world with your animal soulmate.

1. Your pet won't judge you for ditching Friday night plans to binge watch "The Vampire Diaries."

2. Even when you haven't showered in three days, your pet still thinks you look fabulous.

3. Your pet doesn't think it was irresponsible of you to stumble in at 2 a.m. when you have a test the next morning.

4. Cupcake, pookie, and boo boo are nicknames your pet loves even if your significant other does not.

5. Your pet thinks it's totally okay to eat an entire pizza by yourself!

6. Even if you're singing "Bleeding Love" for the fifth time in a row, your pet thinks you sound great.

7. When it comes to you and your pet, there is no such thing as too much cuddling.

8. Your pet is a great listener and never thinks you should just stop talking.

9. Even when you wore gauchos every day in middle school, your pet still thought your fashion choices were runway worthy.

10. Despite your flaws and mistakes, your pet still thinks you're the coolest human on earth.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
