1. Seeing them makes your day
Whether it’s walking to class or grabbing lunch, you know you have someone who is as excited to see you as you are to see them
2. Their friends become your friends
“Hey this is my friend from class, meet my sister.” Enough said. Instant friends.
3. You always have someone to eat with
When it’s 4 o’clock in the afternoon and none of your friends want to eat dinner at such a ridiculous time, you can text your sibling and know that they will be waiting for you at the dining hall with 3 platefuls of food ready to feast alongside you.
4. Going home for breaks is awesome
You can talk about weird professors and tell funny stories about school and they will be sitting right there next to you laughing just as hard as you are because they understand it better than everyone else at the Thanksgiving dinner table.
5. You can team up on homework
You do my calc homework, I’ll write your paper? Deal. Deal. But seriously, going to the same school as your sibling gives you the advantage of sharing notes, opinions on professors and classes, and giving each other your old books— for free!
6. When mom and dad come to visit, you can focus the attention on the favorite sibling
How was my final you ask? Did you know that Johnny just submitted a paper in his writing seminar! It’s so interesting, you just have to read it!
7. You don’t have to see them unless you want to
You can go two weeks without seeing them but when you need them you know they’re only a building away.
8. You can share school gear
Remember that time when your older sibling committed to a school and you bought 10 unnecessary t-shirts out of excitement? Good news, because you can actually wear them now.
9. Your parents can get really spirited about your school
Because why not? They have two kids that go there now! They officially become a real Muhlenberg dad.
10. You know that they have your back
No matter what college life brings you, you know that they will always be right there next to you, cheering you on.
