I have an unhealthy obsession with Donald Glover. His comedy, his writing, his music, you name it. At your local party one might (10/10 always will) find me near the DJ booth requesting my favorite song of his, "Bonfire." It's not healthy, it's illogical, and it consumes me. Much like true love, no?
Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, is quite possibly the most underrated person in the music and comedy scene. It's not fair!
We know Donald, we know.
So, if you didn't know about all the reasons why Donald Glover is amazing other than his rapping career, and why he is my one and only, let me enlighten you.
1. He graduated from New York University's Tisch School of Arts with a degree in dramatic writing.

2. While many people mainly know him as Childish Gambino, I first knew him as Donald Glover: stand up comedian and writer for "30 Rock," Tina Fey's NBC show.
Being multi-talented is an important quality in a guy, if I do say so myself. Dude's hilarious.
3. His lyrics are clever as heck.
Between his use of puns and allusions to everything and anything happening on in our society, he's maybe one of the most clever rappers I've ever heard. For example, he has too many d*** jokes to count, which many would disapprove of, but his are so clever you can't help but appreciate them. In his song "Bonfire," from his album "Camp," he raps, "My d*** is like an accent mark, it's all about the over E's"
Over E's. Like ovaries. I laugh every time.
4. His character on the NBC show "Community, "Troy Barnes. If you've never seen this show, I highly recommend it.
5. The fact that he can be goofy one second and make you swoon the next.
6. LOOK AT THAT FACE.
I mean, c'mon.
7. He got his rap name from the Wu Tang Name Generator online.
How random is that? Also how random is this awesome dance he's doing while being interviewed? Ugh.
8. And that smile.
C'mon!!
9. He's made a name for himself in so many different things, with two entirely different personas.
As Donald Glover, he's hilarious, clever, and goofy in everything he does, whether it be his online sketch comedy group Derrick Comedy or his stand-up comedy. As Childish Gambino, he's serious (sometimes), he's weird, and he's still hilarious. I can't keep track of his awesomeness, really.
10. But mostly, I just love him because he's the most random person.
He does all these amazing creative things, and I don't think he does all these things because it will help his career. He's genuine to me. He decides he wants to do something, and just does it. Wouldn't we all be a little better off if we all did that too? I know I would be.
So, Donald, can we be best friends?
